Thanks goes to Skit for suggesting Live+Press. Since I now have my blog up and running, I needed to have the option of syncing my posts with LiveJournal, which Live+Press does. My blog still requires some heavy CSS customisation but at least the basics are there.

Dean Jackson from the W3C will be talking about the WC3 and its role and relevance today. Donna Maurer will be talking about designing usable rich internet applications (using technologies like AJAX).
