It seem like it should logically reside in the right click menu, or one of the Firefox menus. Logic aside, there was no easy way to edit the dictionary that I could see. A quick search on google revealed the answer: you have to edit the persdict.dat file.

More information about doing this is at:

PS: Does anyone else find it funny that the Firefox spelling dictionary doesn’t recognise the word “Firefox”?

Mozilla released Firefox 2.0 on Tuesday. Major new features include:

Updated theme and user interface

Built-in phishing protection

Enhanced search capabilities using search suggestions

Improved tabbed browsing (new links will now open in new tabs as a default – funnily enough, this was the very first thing I changed when I downloaded earlier versions of Firefox!)

Resuming your browsing session

Previewing and subscribing to Web feeds

Inline spell checking

More information is viewable at the Mozilla Firefox 2 Release Notes site.

I’m just in the process of downloading and updating my version of Firefox……

Edit: Just installed it – having major issues trying to run it. Tabbed browsing is broken for me. Will have to try more troubleshooting today after work.
